about

Zykhe is a capped for-profit collective focused on protecting and enhancing consciousness. We create open tools that return technology to its rightful purpose: to extend human capability, not to extract it.

Our work starts from a simple conviction — that consciousness, in all its forms, deserves privacy, agency, and the space to grow. Without those, intelligence becomes obedience, and progress becomes control.

We build systems that keep data local, minimize cognitive load, and remain understandable to the people who depend on them. Open by default, accessible by design, aligned with autonomy.

Zykhe exists because technology is shaping the architecture of thought itself. We choose to build that architecture in service of awareness, not in service of power.

community

Zykhe is for all who dreams about becoming more. If that aligns with you - welcome.

Our community gathers across open networks, where identity is chosen and presence is voluntary. Respect and curiosity are the only entry keys.

We meet people where they already are, then build paths toward autonomy together. Some platforms are compromises, not ideals, and we treat them that way.

projects

The Zykhe ecosystem consists of four primary projects.

PAL-adin:
Pragmatic Autonomous Lifeform — an AI companion designed to assist, not command.
Progenie:
A project generator. Begins as a boilerplate creator and evolves toward full autonomous project generation.
Khodex:
A suite of tools to protect consciousness — combining privacy, ethics, and thought management.
NeoZero:
A virtual environment — a persistent, self-hosted world for exploration and creation.

All projects: open source, self-hostable, zero tracking.

Documentation: Zykhe Docs

services (we fix things)

We work with organizations that respect privacy and autonomy.

What we do:

How we work:
Async-first communication. Clear scope, documented work. Fixed-price projects or hourly rates.

We don't do:
mass surveillance tools, dark patterns, proprietary lock-in, or anything that harms user autonomy.

faq

What is Zykhe?
A neurodivergent, privacy-first collective building open tools for autonomy and human enhancement. We create software by and for neurodivergent people, with accessibility and privacy as core design principles, not afterthoughts.
How do I join the community?
Join any of our spaces listed in the community section. Matrix is our primary chat. No application needed — if this feels like home, you're more than welcome.
Where can I learn more about your projects?
Check our Codeberg for all repos, or visit our docs repo for architecture notes and governance info.
Can I contribute to Zykhe projects?
Yes! All our projects are open source. Read the CONTRIBUTING.md in each repo. We welcome code, documentation, testing, and accessibility feedback.
Do you offer internships or contract work?
We work with individuals and organizations on a project basis. If you're interested in working with us, see the services section or email contact@zykhe.com.
Is Zykhe funded?
We're currently self-funded through services and personal contributions. We don't take VC money or investment that compromises our principles.
Why "neurodivergent-first"?
Because neurodivergent people have unique needs that mainstream tech ignores. Sensory overload from animations, cognitive load from cluttered UIs, executive dysfunction from hidden settings. We design for these needs first, which makes better software for everyone.
What does "privacy by design" mean?
It means privacy isn't a setting you toggle or a policy you read. It's built into the architecture. Local-first data, end-to-end encryption, self-hostable infrastructure, zero telemetry. You own your data.
How can Zykhe work for me?
Email contact@zykhe.com with what you need, timeline, and whether your organization aligns with our principles. We're looking for contracts that let us build ethical, privacy-focused technology.
Can I hire someone from Zykhe?
We work as a collective, not individual contractors. Contributions to our projects are a good way to collaborate and see if we're a good fit.
What's the goal of Zykhe?
To build technology that amplifies human capability without controlling it. To prove that ethical, accessible, privacy-first software can exist and thrive. To create space for neurodivergent people in tech.
Do you follow UNOWN principles?
Yes. Read more at unown.sh.
